Description

The Shelter Logic 12 x 28 x 11 Homestead Barn Garage is made of durable steel and long-lasting, rip-stop fabric. For maximum flexibility, this garage can be used to house cars and trucks, as a workshop or storage area, or as a bulk storage facility.

Features:

  • Starting with high-grade steel, every frame pipe and connector go through a proprietary 13-step Rhino Shield surface-preparation process
  • Heavy-duty 2-inch-diameter all-steel frame is bonded with DuPont thermoset; baked-on, powder-coated finish prevents chipping, peeling, rust, and corrosion
  • Solid 8-rib design, complete with slip-fit connectors and swedged tubing for easy assembly
  • Bolt hardware at every connection point ensures a solid structure
  • Rugged Ratchet-Tite tensioning for quick and easy cover installation
  • Triple-layer, chemically heat-bonded, enhanced, polyethylene, rip-stop fabric cover is hot air-fused at the seams and 100% waterproof with a white interior lining for enhanced illumination
  • UV-treated inside and out with added fade blockers and anti-aging and anti-fungal agents, which results in a cover that withstands the elements
  • Structure sets up quickly and, in most cases, requires no building permits (check your local ordinance before installing)
  • Door opening measures 7.5W feet at the top, 9.83W feet at the bottom, and 9H feet

Comments about Shelter Logic ShelterLogic 12 x 28 x 11 Homestead Barn Canopy Carport:

Bought this for my new boat that wouldn't fit in the garage. Heck the cars won't fit in the garage either. My son-in-law and I put it up in one day. He also has one which made it a little easier because he new a few tricks to putting it up. Great price for a totally enclosed canopy and plan on another for my trailer.

Comments about Shelter Logic ShelterLogic 12 x 28 x 11 Homestead Barn Canopy Carport:

I bought this to keep my boat out of the weather. It shold be good for that or any car or truck. The directions can be better. After you put the frame together and the instructions have you taking the ends off to install the end panels, this is very difficult when it is 12' in the air. you should put the end panels over the end frame BEFORE you install the legs. Also the instructions tell you to put the leg sections on one side then the other, you will be better off if you work around the structure one segment at a time and raise it that way. Last you need to add to the cover installation that you should put ropes over the structure and pull the cover over from the side not the end and also have a 2" X 4" X 8' board to assist in lifting the cover over the frame. cover the end with cloth and duct tape to prevent the board from tearing a hole in the cover. I added 16 foot ratchet straps in an x pattern on both sides to add to the stability of the structure. You may want to include in the kit some cable end turn buckles to assist in this.

Good Solid Design - Poor Manual

Comments about Shelter Logic ShelterLogic 12 x 28 x 11 Homestead Barn Canopy Carport:

I park my Dodge 3/4 ton quad cab with long bed in this 12 x 28 with room for riding lawn mower.

This is a very solid unit if you get it anchored well. To anchor the building, I dug 8 post holes 32 inches deep, filled them with concrete and into the wet concrete I inserted the provided augur anchors. It takes about 100 lbs of concrete per hole.

        Negatives:
The provided steel cable is too light for connecting building to anchors. I purchased heavier cable and clamps.
The instruction manual has errors. Phone support was pretty good though.
The posted installation time is probably a world record time. It took me 4 hours to just inventory everything. This was also due to errors in manual. You should plan on it taking about 3 plus days if doing it by yourself. This would include digging post holes and setting anchors in concrete. Installing the legs and tarp will require a helper. Two of us did it, but a third person would be easier.
I purchased additional locking washers to use on all the bolts.

        Postives:
The building is very stable in strong winds. A well designed unit.
