Assembling a Canopy Carport
With just a few hours and a set of tools, you can assemble a canopy carport and begin to enjoy the benefits of one of these convenient structures. All canopy carports come equipped with product specific assembly instructions from the manufacturer. With this in mind, there are a few basic instructions that apply to all types of carports. By taking a quick look at these instructions, you'll be better prepared for the time and effort needed to assemble your canopy carport.

First Thing's First
Before beginning any carport assembly project, consult the parts list included in your carport kit. Make sure your kit contains all necessary parts for assembly. If you find that something is missing, follow the manufacturer's guidelines for obtaining the missing part(s). After identifying all the parts, bring in your tool box and organize the parts and the tools in the order they will be used. This is a real time-saver during the assembly process.

Assembling the Frame
Start with the center of the frame and connect all pipes together. Then put the sides together.

Assembling the Cover
After completing the frame assembly, it is time to put the cover on top. The straps must be attached to each of the four corners. Make sure to also attach the side straps. Finally, attach the straps from the front to the back, ensuring all are safely fastened.
