Canopy Covers
One type of canopy cover is the polyethylene tarp, which is waterproof, mildew resistant, and UV-resistant. These vary in color and size but are the same type of material for any canopy.

Another type is the weather-resistant polyester cover, which is coated to protect from water and UV-rays. The polyester cover is available in varied deniers. The denier of a fabric is the fineness, or the quality, of the fabric, and is based on a standard mass per length of 1 gram per 9,000 meters of yarn. Basically, the higher the denier, the better protection you will have from the likes of rain, sun, and wind. You will see denier measurements somewhere in the range of 150 to 500.

Whether you choose polyethylene or polyester is a matter of personal preference. The polyester cover may have a more attractive presentation, while the polyethylene tarp may be less likely to mold. Both types are manufactured to maintain strength in the wind without ripping and are both easy to store.
